About this costume

Selection Process: I have only seen the FIRST episode of GoT but all my friends love it! I just couldn't get into it. But we decided to do the Sand Snakes since our friend Miranda was already doing Ellaria Sand. I decided to do a mashup between Obara's description in the book and the TV show just to match the other girls better.

Construction: I covered a bra in fabric, and took the yellow lining fabric and just draped and pinned where I thought it should go. I made the staff by cutting the blade off a plastic sword and attaching it to a wood pole, and wrapped a gold snake around it. We all purchased the same trousers so they would match and we all owned similar boots.

Final Thoughts: Obviously the highlight of this cosplay was meeting Nikolaj, even though I wasn't a fan of the show. He was so sweet and energetic and I got to share that moment with my friends! Don't expect to see Obara again, this was a one time cosplay!
